Problem

The icons for 'delete column' and 'delete row' are not self-explanatory: the double arrow next to the symbol suggests 'expand/extend' rather than 'delete'.

Reported by Stefan on 2026-08-15.

Scope

Replace the icons with unambiguous ones (e.g. column/row with a minus or x), keeping the visual language of the existing icon set.
Verify tooltips and aria-labels exist and match ('Delete row', 'Delete column'; i18n de+en).
Check the other table toolbar icons for the same ambiguity while at it.

Acceptance criteria

Delete actions are visually distinguishable from insert/extend actions without reading the tooltip.
Labels/tooltips localized de+en.
